Creating something fun form the abstract

I was inspired by this tutorial about Abstract Watercoloring in Photoshop and decided to make a little homage to my wife, who really is my inspiration for everything creative that I make. By taking the step by step approach to the creation of this in Photoshop, I was able to learn a lot about blending and masking along the way. I also had a lot of fun looking for the right combination of paint for the splatter effect that is painting my wife.

This just goes to show that there are countless ways of creating something and that abstract only increases that number of possibilities of what can be created.
